Pharaoh's Hard Heart: The Plagues of Egypt
Welcome to the Bowl of Rice and the Bible podcast. In this episode, we're talking about the plagues of Egypt, one of the most famous stories in the Bible. But why are the plagues of Egypt important? What can we learn from them today?
Three Important Points
- The plagues of Egypt show us that God is sovereign. He is in control of everything, even the forces of nature. Pharaoh was one of the most powerful men in the world, but he was no match for God.
- The plagues of Egypt show us that God is just. He will punish those who rebel against Him. Pharaoh refused to let God's people go, even after God sent him warning after warning. In the end, Pharaoh paid the price for his disobedience.
- The plagues of Egypt show us that God is merciful. Even though Pharaoh hardened his heart against God, God still gave him the opportunity to repent. But Pharaoh refused to repent, and so he was judged.
